2024 was a year of growth, learning, and impact for Stichting NetImpact and the NetImpact Academy. In this report, we share what we achieved, what we learned, and what we are committed to doing better in the years ahead.
By the Numbers
Over the course of 2024, the NetImpact Academy delivered more than 40 workshop sessions across our programme portfolio, reached over 280 unique participants from 18 different countries of origin, trained and coordinated a network of 35 volunteer coaches and instructors, and partnered with 12 businesses and community organisations in the Den Haag area.
Our flagship bol.com e-commerce workshop saw 94 participants complete the full programme, of whom 41 went on to launch active seller accounts. Our Dutch language coaching programme supported 78 participants, with an average CEFR level progression of 0.8 levels over the programme period.
Programme Highlights
AI for Everyone Launch: The most significant new addition to our portfolio was the launch of our AI for Everyone workshop, which attracted over 60 participants. We are now developing an advanced module for 2025.
Arabic-Language Registration System: We developed a fully bilingual registration and payment system for our workshops, dramatically reducing administrative barriers to participation for Arabic speakers.
NetImpact Cloud Classroom: The launch of our online learning platform enabled us to extend our reach beyond Den Haag, with participants from Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and other Dutch cities accessing content remotely.
What We Learned
Our 2024 experience reinforced several important lessons: multilingual delivery is essential for genuine inclusion, peer mentorship dramatically accelerates learning, digital tools must be complemented by in-person connection, and financial sustainability requires active investment in earned income streams.
Looking Ahead to 2025
Building on our 2024 foundation, we enter 2025 committed to expanding our programme portfolio, deepening our business partnerships, growing our volunteer community, and developing new digital infrastructure. Most importantly, we remain committed to our founding mission — building a more just, inclusive, and empowered Netherlands, one community member at a time.
